POD Farm 2 Advanced User Guide – Troubleshooting
9•6
Mixer Tone A & B Faders - A volume “fader” and meter is also available for each Tone A and Tone
B in the Mixer View. You’ll want to make sure these are turned up to show a healthy output level on
the meters.
Tone A & B Faders and Meters
Note that when using POD Farm 2 in standalone operation, the Tone A & B faders control the monitor
signal levels only, and the Record Send faders control the levels sent to your DAW application as its
recording input level. One exception is if you have selected “Tone A+B” as the Source for your Record
Sends within the Mixer. In this case, the Tone A and B Mixer controls do affect the signal fed to the Record
Sends.
Hardware Volume - The Volume or Output knob on your Line 6 hardware determines the overall
volume of everything you hear coming out the analog Outs/Main outs. Be sure it is turned up sufciently
to get a usable output. Note that this also affects the Headphone level on some Line 6 units, while
others offer a separate Headphone volume knob.

Light is off on Line 6 hardware
If the light or front panel meters on your POD Studio, GuitarPort or TonePort hardware does not light
up, it means that the device is not receiving power from the USB connection. (TonePort UX8 includes
an AC power cable and Power switch, so you should be sure to plug it in & turn it on!) See USB Errors.

Line 6 hardware does not power up
The light on top or front panel meters of the POD Studio, TonePort and GuitarPort hardware comes
on to show that it is receiving power and when the driver is correctly initialized and ready to go. These
units’ lights should come on solidly whenever connected via USB to your computer successfully. If it
does not, or if the indicator light is red rather than green, or if the front panel lights are blinking, see
the discussion of USB Errors.
