Cable/DSL Voice Enabler powered by Net2Phone

This tab displays the current status of the Voice Enabler; it reflects the data
and selections you’ve entered under the Setup tab.
All of the information provided on this screen is read-only. To make changes,
select the Setup tab.
• Host Name This field shows the name of your Voice Enabler.
• Firmware Version This field shows the installed version and date of the
firmware. Version dates are slightly more accurate than version numbers.
• LAN These fields display the current IP Address, Subnet Mask and
Default Gateway of the Voice Enabler, as seen by users on your internal
network.
• DNS (Domain Name System) IP Address These fields show the IP
Address(es) of the DNS currently used by the Voice Enabler. Multiple
DNS IP settings are common. In most cases, the first available DNS entry
is used.

• DNS (Domain Name Server) IP Address Your ISP will provide you with
at least one DNS IP Address. If set to Obtain an IP address automatically,
these values are automatically assigned by your DHCP server.
• Net2Phone Enter the Account Number and the Personal Identification
Number (PIN) that appear on the Net2Phone/Linksys Rechargeable
Calling Card that came in your Voice Enabler’s box. This is the first step
of setting up your Net2Phone account. Once you have entered these val-
ues, you will go on to the final step, which is to connect to the
Linksys/Net2Phone web site and enter your account number and PIN
again - and select your calling plan. You will be able to make phone calls
after you complete both steps.
It is strongly recommended that you set a password for the Voice Enabler.
When you first power up the router, you will notice that the Password setting
default is “admin”. For security, we recommed that you change your pass-
word often.

If you set the Restore Factory Default option and click Apply,
you will clear all of the Voice Enabler’s settings. Do not
restore to the factory defaults unless you are having difficul-
ties with the Voice Enabler. Once the Voice Enabler is reset,
you will have to re-enter your configuration information.
