Product Overview Chapter 1 Chapter 1: Product Overview Placement Options The Gigabit 8-Port Workgroup Switch delivers non-blocking, wire speed switching for your 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps network clients, so all workstations will perform at their maximum speeds. There are two ways to place the Switch. The first way is to place it horizontally on a surface, so it sits on its four rubber feet. The second way is to mount it on a wall. The wall-mount option is described in further detail below.
Chapter 2 Configuration Chapter 2: Installation Tips on Switching Your Network Installing the Gigabit 8-Port Workgroup Switch may involve installing both an adapter and the Switch. If you are integrating these items into an existing network, some additional steps may be necessary involving settings for your existing equipment. Consult your network administrator for more information about how the Switch will interface with your existing network components.
