1. Remove fixture components and parts pack(s). Check
that all parts are included. See Page 2.
Note: Turn off power at circuit breaker box!
2. Fully thread two 1-1/4" Screws (2), 3” apart into bent
Double Crossbar (1) and secure with Hexnut (2).
See Fig. 2.
Note: Screws must be 3” apart . Verify by aligning Screws in
crossbar to holes in backplate. See Fig. 2.
Note: Length will depend upon if J-box is mounted flush or
recessed. If unsure it is best to mount fixture to J-box to verify
length before making wire connections (see step 8).
3. Insert two 1-3/8" Screws (3) through slots of flat Cross-
bar and attach to the junction box. See Fig. 3.
4. Rotate the bent section of the Crossbar so the protruding
Screws line up horizontally and secure by tightening small
Screw next to center Screw.
WIRING AND FIXTURE OPERATION CAUTION:
Connect fixture to supply wires rated for at least 90°C
(194°F).
Do not use fixture on dimming circuits.
5. With the power turned off, hold the fixture firmly and
connect the copper ground wire from the fixture to the
bare copper ground wire from the junction box using a
Wirenut (4). (If house wiring does not include a ground wire,
consult your local electrical code for approved grounding
methods). See Fig. 1.
FOR PROPER CONNECTION, PLACE WIRENUT OVER
WIRES, TWIST CLOCKWISE UNTIL TIGHT.
6. Use Wirenuts (4) to connect black or brown fixture wire to
the black power supply wire and black or brown ribbed
fixture wire to the white power supply wire. See Fig. 1.
7. Tuck wires into junction box.
8. Position the Backplate (5) over the Screws protruding from
the bent Crossbar and secure fixture with Decorative Nuts
(6). Note: To reduce risk of electrical shock, provide a
watertight seal between the fixture and the mounting surface
by using a silicone or similar caulking.
9. Insert Lamp (10) by aligning pins on Lamp with holes in
Ballast (7) and pushing Lamp in. Note: Do not twist
Lamp! See Fig. 1.
10. Place Hood (11) on top of fixture and secure with two
Screws (12). See Fig. 1.
11. Turn on electricity at fuse or circuit breaker box and verify
success of installation.
Note: Weatherproof fixture by using a suitable silicone caulking
to seal around backplate.
9. Inserte la Lámpara (10) alineando las clavijas en la

10. Coloque la Capota (11) encima del luminario y

11. Encienda la electricidad en caja de fusible o
cortacircuitos y verifique el éxito de la instalación.
Nota: Haga la luminario a prueba de intemperie usando
masilla de silicón para sellar todos los agujeros de
conexiones.
Trouble Shooting Guide
If this fixture fails to operate properly, use the guide below to
diagnose and correct the problem.
 Verify that correct lamp is used.
 Make sure lamp is properly seated in socket.
 Replace defective lamp(s).
 Verify that fixture is wired properly.
 Verify that fixture is grounded correctly.
 The line voltage at the fixture is correct.
 Twist ballast clockwise and verify that ballast is properly
seated in ballast socket.
The photocontrol in this fixture is designed to turn on fix-
ture light at low light levels.
During daylight installation light
should come on for 1-4 min. and then go off.
If light does not come on or stays on:
Test if Photocontrol works properly:
• Cover Photocontrol for 1-4 min. - Light should come on.
• Shine a flashlight into Photocontrol - Light should go off.
If fixture cylcles on and off:
Light reflecting back off any surrounding surfaces enters the
photocontol. To correct problem, reposition the photocontrol
or eliminate reflective surfaces.

To clean, wipe fixture with a soft cloth. Clean glass shade
with a mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive materials
such as scouring pads or powders, steel wool or abrasive
paper.
To replace the Ballast: Turn off electricity at fuse or circuit
breaker box. Remove the Hood & Lamp. Grasp the Ballast and
rotate counter-clockwise to disconnect Ballast from Ballast
socket. Pull up slides on both sides of Ballast if applicable. Ob
tain replacement Ballast and reinstall in reverse order.

Si este luminario falla de operar apropiadamente, use la
siguiente guía para diagnosticar y corregir el problema.
 Verifique que la Lámpara usada es la correcta.
 Asegure que la lámpara este asentada
correctamente en el enchufe.
 Reemplace la(s) lámpara(s) defectiva(s)
 Verifique que el luminario este alambrado apropiadamente.
 Verifique que el luminario este conectado tierra
correctamente.
 El voltaje de la línea en el luminario este correcto
 Tuerza el balastro hacia su derecha y verifique que el
balastro este correctamente asentado en el enchufe
del balastro.
El fotocontrol en este luminario esta diseñado para
encender la luz del luminario en bajos niveles de luz.
Durante instalación a la luz del día, la luz debe encender
por 1 a 4 minutos y luego apagarse.
Si la luz no enciende o se mantiene encendida:
Prueba si el Fotocontrol esta trabajando correctamente:
• Cubra el Fotocontrol por 1 a 4 minutos - La luz deberá
encenderse.
• Brille una linterna en el Fotocontrol - La luz deberá
apagarse.
Si el luminario enciende y apaga en ciclos:
Luz de alguna superficie reflectora esta entrando en el
fotocontol. Para corregir el problema, recoloque el
fotocontrol o elimine superficies reflectoras.

Para limpiar el luminario, use un paño suave. Limpie el
difusor con un jabón suave y agua. No utilice materias
abrasivas tales como almohadillas o polvos de restregar,
“steel wool” o papel de lija.
Para reemplazar el Balastro: Apague la electricidad en la
caja de fusible o cortacircuitos. Quite la Capota y
Lámpara. Agarre el Balastro y gire hacia su izquierda
para desconectar el Balastro de su enchufe. Levante los
deslizadores en ambos lados del Balastro (26W) si
aplicable.
Obtenga el Balastro de reemplazo y reinstalelo
en orden inversa. Vea Pagina 4 Fig. 4.

LISTE DES PIECES
1. Saque los componentes del luminario y paquete(s) de
piezas. Compruebe que todas las piezas estén incluidas.

NOTA: ¡Apague la electricidad en la caja de cortacircuitos!
2. Atornille completamente dos Tornillos 1-1/4" (2), 3"
aparte en la Barra Transversal doblada (1) y asegure con
Tuerca Hexagonal (2). Vea Fig. 2.
Nota: La longitud dependerá de si tapa de registro esta montada
a ras o hundida en un hueco. Si no esta seguro es mejor montar
el luminario a la tapa de registro para verificar la longitud antes
de hacer las conexiones de alambres (vea el paso 8).
3. Inserte dos Tornillos de 1-3/8"(3) a través de las ranuras
de la Barra Transversal plana y conecte a la caja de
ensambladura. Vea Fig. 3.
4. Gire la sección doblada de la Barra Transversal para que
los tornillos que sobresalen estén alineados
horizontalmente y asegure apretando el tornillo pequeño
al lado del tornillo de centro.
CUIDADO EN EL ALAMBRADO Y OPERACION DEL
LUMINARIO:
Conecte luminario a alambres de suministro de electricidad
clasificados a por lo menos 90°C (194°F).
No use el luminario en circuitos con atenuador de
intensidad.
5. Con la electricidad apagada, sostenga el luminario
firmemente y conecte el alambre de cobre de toma a
tierra del luminario al alambre de toma de tierra de cobre
descubierto de la caja de ensambladura utilizando un
Capuchón de Alambres (4). ( Si el alambrado de casa no
incluye un alambre de toma a tierra, consulte su código
eléctrico local para métodos aprobados de hacer tierra.

PARA UNA CONEXIÓN APROPIADA, COLOQUE UN
CAPUCHÓN DE ALAMBRES SOBRE LOS ALAMBRES Y
GIRE HACIA SU DERECHA HASTA QUE QUEDE
APRETADO.
6. Utilice Capuchones de Alambres (4) para conectar el
alambre negro, o marrón del luminario al alambre negro de
suministro de electricidad y el negro, o marrón acanalado
del luminario al alambre blanco de suministro de electricidad.

7. Empuje los alambres dentro de la caja de ensambladura.
8. Coloque la Placa Trasera (5) sobre los tornillos que salen
de la Barra Transversal doblada y asegure el luminario con
Tuercas Decorativas (6). Nota: Para reducir el riesgo de una
descarga eléctrica, proporcione un sello hermético entre el
luminario y la superficie de montaje utilizando una silicona o
semejante sellador.
