Push choke lever in to RUN (open) position. 2. Slide ignition switch to the STOP position. 3. If there is no fuel in the clear return line, push primer bulb 3-4 times or until fuel is visible in the line. 3. Make sure blades have come to a complete stop before releasing either handle. 4.

Maintenance WARNING C. Idle Speed Adjustment – DANGER SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE BEFORE LUBRICATING OR ADJUSTING THE BLADES. A. Lubrication 1. A few drops of a light #10 oil should be placed on the back edge of each adjusting screw head approximately after every 4 hours of normal operation. 2. To obtain trouble free trimming, it is necessary to keep the blades lubricated and clean. The gum that collects and builds up on the blades can be removed with a 50-50 mixture of kerosene and #10 oil.
Service A. Troubleshooting Cause Problem Remedy 1. Blades don’t cut cleanly. Blades are dull or not adjusted properly. Have blades sharpened and adjusted. 2. Blades don’t move when throttle is depressed. Blades are adjusted too tight. Re-adjust blades following service instructions. (pg. 14) ON/OFF switch is in OFF position. Move switch to ON. Después de haber operado normalmente la podadora durante 4 horas, deberá añadírseles unas cuantas gotas de aceite ligero del número 10 a cada uno de los tornillos de ajuste colocados en los extremos de las guardas. 2. Si desea obtener los mejores resultados de sus labores de podado, será necesario mantener las cuchillas limpias y lubricadas.
Servicio A. Corrección de posibles averías Problema 1. Las cuchillas no cortan los arbustos eficientemente. 2. Las cuchillas no se mueven al tirar del gatillo del acelerador. 3. El motor no arranca. Causa Remedio Las cuchillas están desafiladas o no están ajustadas apropiadamente. El motor no está asentado apropiadamente sobre el ensamble que opera el tubo de 36 pulg (91 cm). Las cuchillas están demasiado ajustadas. Haga que se afilen y ajusten las cuchillas.

Ajuste de la cuchilla El cuidado y ajuste de las cuchillas es de suma importancia para que la podadora opere eficazmente, y especialmente extender la vida útil del motor. Al volver a llenar el tanque de combustible, o mientras toma un descanso, se recomienda aprovechar ese tiempo para lubricar las cuchillas.
