OXFORD SERIES OUTDOOR WALL MOUNT LIGHT FIXTURE
WARNING! SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER .
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE
Installation (see fig.1)
1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove old fixture,
including the cross bar.
2. Carefully unpack new fixture and lay all the parts on a clear
surface. Take care not to lose any small parts nece
ssary for
in
stallation.
3. Drill two holes in the wall, distance and the same distance from th
e
to
p holes of the mounting plate. Attach the mounting plate to th
e
wall, align
ing the plastic anchors and junction box, lock it secu
rely
wi
th the two wood screws and the two box screws. The side of th
e
m
ounting plate marked “GND” must face out. The junction box
is
not included.
4. Follow wiring instructions carefully (see fig.2)
5. Attach the back plate of the lamp body(D) onto the junction box,
aligning the back plate’s hole with mounting screw and lock it
securely with the hex nuts(E, four). Raise the glass shade(C) in
to
the glass
frame.
6. Install the light bulbs in accordance with the fixture’
s
specifications. DO
NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM
WATTAGE RATING!
7. Attached glass cover(A) onto the top of lamp body(D), lock
it
secu
rely with the hex nut(B)
.
8. W
ith silicone caulking compound, caulk completely ar
ound
wher
e back of cover meets with the wall surface to pr
event
w
ater from seeping into outlet box.
Wiring (see fig.2)
1. Connect the electrical wires as follows. Connect the
bl
ack wire from the fixture to the black house (hot
)
W
ire. Connect the white wire from the fixture to th
e
wh
ite (neutral) house wire. Make sure all wire nu
ts are
secure
d. You may wrap the connections with
electrical
t
ape. If your outlet box has a ground wire (green or
bare
cop
per) connect fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwis
e
attach
the bare copper fixture wire to the green ground
screw on the cross bar.
2.Tuck the wire connections neatly into the wall junction
box.
