Preparation This guide will walk you through step-by-step how to install and get your Lockly Vision up and running. Installation generally takes less than 30 minutes. If you have any questions please refer to our online support at: support.Lockly.com or call (669) 500-8835 for help.
Step 1 ADJUST DEADBOLT AND INSTALL 1.1 The deadbolt defaults to 2-3/8"(60mm) backset which is measured from the centre of the door hole to the door edge. If the deadbolt slot is aligned to the centre of the door hole, skip this step of adjusting deadbolt and proceed to installing deadbolt onto door. 2-3/4" or 2-3/8" If the deadbolt slot is not aligned to the centre of your door hole, adjust deadbolt to 2-3/4" (70mm) backset.
1.4 Observe the correct position of the cable to ensure it is according to your door opening orientation (Left / Right Swing) and Backset size (60mm/70mm). During installation, DO NOT hammer the deadbolt and/or its metal plate to avoid damaging the built-in sensor.
Step 3 INSTALLING INTERIOR ASSEMBLY (C) 3.1 Align and secure mounting plate. Guide connection cables through the hole and secure to the lower left notched hole. 3.2 Select D1/D2/D3 screws based on the door thickness, insert and tighten 2x DD screws on the left and right sides of the blade by hand. Check the alignment and insert screws through the circular holes on both sides of the deadbolt torque blade, aligning them with the screw holes on the exterior assembly.
Step 4 INSTALLING INTERIOR ASSEMBLY (E) 4.1 Plug the larger cable coming through mounting plate C into the interior assembly E as shown. C E Plug cable heads X to Y and V1 to V2 as shown. V1 V2 X Y Plug W into Z , match the grey side of the plug as shown. W Z 4.2 Peel off protective film from the adhesive strips, and then press the magnetic control socket onto the double-sided adhesive as shown. 4.
4.4 Before placing the interior assembly onto the mounting plate, ensure the thumbturn is vertical. 4.5 Align torque blade with thumbturn shaft, make sure both are in the vertical position. Insert the connector and excess wire into door hole. Place the interior assembly against the mounting plate and make sure the torque blade is inserted to the thumbturn shaft. Thumbturn Shaft Torque Blade F 4.6 Secure the interior assembly to mounting plate with 4x F screws.
Step 5 INSTALLING BATTERY 5.1 With door open and deadbolt fully extended, insert lithium battery. Make sure to hook the battery securely on the provided slot of the interior assembly. G 5.2 After the battery is secured, HOLD the program button for 4 seconds. The lock will automatically start self-check (release program button once self-check starts). The self-check process determines right or left swinging door and is very important to ensure correct installation.
Step 6 INSTALLING STRIKE PLATE Use the included door strike plate L which has the built-in door sensor magnet. If your door gap is larger than 5mm, it is recommended to install Strike Spacer S to lessen the gap to ensure the normal operation of the door sensor. L S T A1 (4X) USE THE INCLUDED DOOR STRIKE PLATE WITH INTEGRATED DOOR SENSOR. Depending on your door and door frame gap you may need to increase the depth of the groove or use strike spacer to lessen the gap.
Step 7 NEW-GEN VISION CONNECT HUB SETUP NEW-GEN VISION CONNECT HUB STATUS Reset TF card (included) LED status lights LED INDICATORS STATUS Blue white lights blinking Pairing Green lights slow blinking Gateway working Purple lights blinking Resetting Blue lights blinking Update in progress Red lights blinking Network NOT connected White light on Doorbell speaker working Power adapter Connect power cable and plug USB power adapter into outlet.
Step 8 DOWNLOAD LOCKLY APP Download the Lockly app on your smartphone. It is required to finish setup and to establish the connection between the lock, hub and the app. Additionally, you'll need the Activation Card with unique pre-paired QR code to your lock. The card is located in the packaging that shipped with your lock. Please keep it in a safe place-this QR code is required to complete the setup and will be required if you lose your smartphone or access code.
Step 8 DOWNLOAD LOCKLY APP Ensure your iOS or AndroidTM device has both Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi enabled. Launch the Lockly App and select "Add a new device", then select Vision. You will be prompted to scan the QR code from the Activation Card or New-Gen Vision Connect Hub (located at the bottom).
