9 Video Input: Connect up to 4 BNC cameras (4-channel) or 8 BNC cameras (8-channel).
10 Audio O
ut: Output for 2 audio channels (e.g. speakers).
11 Audio I
n: Connect up to 4 RCA audio-enabled cameras (not included).
16-Channel
1 BNC Video IN: Connect up to 16 BNC cameras.
2 Vi
deo Out: Video outputs (BNC) for external monitors. For details, see “Appendix C:
Connecting Additional External Monitors” on page 109.
NOTE: Use
a BNC to RCA adapter (not included) to connect the DVR to RCA inputs (i.e. for a TV
connection).
3 Audio I
n: Connect up to 4 RCA audio-enabled cameras (not included). BNC to RCA adapters
required (not included).
4 Audio O
ut: Output for 2 audio channels (e.g. speakers). BNC to RCA adapters required (not
included).
5 Audio I
n (CH5~16): Connect up to 12 RCA audio-enabled cameras (not included) using the
Audio Harness cable (included). BNC to RCA adapters required (not included).
6 HDMI Out: Connect t
o a HDMI-compatible TV or monitor (not included) for multimedia audio
and video (16-channel only). Note that the DVR cannot use an HDMI and VGA monitor at the
same time.
7 VGA Output:
Connect a VGA monitor (not included) to view the system interface.
8 LAN:
Connect a CAT 5 RJ45 Ethernet cable (included) for local and remote connectivity.
9 USB P
orts: Connect a USB mouse (included) or USB flash drive (not included) for data
backup or firmware updates.
10 PTZ / Alarm
Block: Connect a PTZ camera (not included) and Alarm Devices (not included).
11 On / Off Switc
h: Turns the DVR on or off.
12 DC
12V: Connect the included AC power adapter.
