The Model DCS-1 is a duress call station with a built-in panic button, 3kH

oscillator and electret condenser microphone. They are mounted to a stainless

steel faceplate that fits into a single gang electrical box (not supplied). As part of

an audio duress system, Model DCS-1 can activate the Louroe Base Station

when the panic button is pressed, or by sound activation picked up by the

microphone. Unit is compatible only with Louroe Model ALA-4, ALA-8, DG-12II

and DG-25III Alarming Base Stations. When the alarming base station is

activated, personnel can monitor the immediate area around the DCS-1 location.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS WIRE COLOR CODE OF WEST PENN 452 RED - 12Vdc BLACK - Audio Output BARE - Ground If using wiring from other manufacturers, color code may vary. WIRING CONNECTION TO DCS-1 DURESS CALL STATION The PC board of DCS-1 contains a barrier block with four terminals marked 1, 2, 3 and 4. 1 - Ground or common 2 - Jumper (installed by factory). This terminal not used with DCS-1 installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS DCS-1 DURESS CALL STATION SENSITIVITY SWITCH OF MICROPHONE For special installations that require less microphone sensitivity, a sensitivity switch has been added to the microphone pre-amp (PC board) and has two positions - N and L: N represents normal sensitivity (0dB output into 1KW) L represents low sensitivity (-6dB output into 1 KW) NOTE: Louroe Verifact microphones are always shipped with the sensitivity switch in normal (N) position. Do not change unless required.
