IN-DASH MOUNTING
After
you've
entered the desired
offset,
press
the
key
next to the "PCF
The GlobalNav II can be installed in
the dash with the
supplied
hardware
if the dash is 1/2" thick or less.
Determining
the
dash thickness can be
difficult, however,
if
you
remove a
gauge
from the
dash,
you
can
easilly
measure the thkness.

some boats. Make certain there is clearance behind the dash for the unit
and
there
is
enough
room to
tighten
the bolts on both sides of the unit.
Once
you've
determined the
location
for
the
unit,
cut the hole
according
to the
drawing
shown
above. Measure
carefully
before
cutting!
After
culling
the
dash, place
the
gasket supplied
with the GlobalNav II around
the unit and
place
the
unit
in
the hole.
Supplied
with the GlobalNav II are rubber
pads,
bolts,
washers,
and cam
clamps
to attach it to the dash. Peel the adhesive
backing
off the rubber
pads
and
place
one on each side of the unit in the location where the cam
clamp
will touch the back side of the dash.
Using
the hardware
supplied
with the
unit,
attach the unit to the dash. Make certain that the cam
clamp
on the left side of the unit is
pointing
down and the cam
clamp
on the
right
side of the unit is
pointing up
before
you
start
tightening
the bolts.

Offset OFF ON" label. This turns the PCF
correction factor that
you
entered on. To leavethis
screen, pressthe key
nexttothe
"Exit" label. This
also
puts your changes
into effect.

the "PCF OFFSET OFF ON" label.
Remember,
Presetting
the unit a!so
erases
any
PCF
offset,
thereby turning
it off.
SYSTEM INFORMATION
The
System
Information menu
gives you
the date and revision number of
the software used mt the GlobalNav
MENU
key,
then
press
the
key
next to the "More" label until the
fourth menu
page appears.
Now
press
the
key
next to the
"Sys-
tem Information" label. A screen
similar to the one at
right ap-
pears.
To return to the sonar
screen,
press
the
key
next to
the "Exit" label.
