superior strength and easier maintenance over time. LP has redefined traditional building materials with the creation of
treated engineered wood products that are designed to offer exceptional durability, beauty and workability.
10. Does this product come with a warranty that builders can offer the homeowner?
LP has builders’ and homeowners’ backs with an industry-leading, transferable limited warranty: A 50-year
prorated limited warranty with a 5-year 100% labor and material replacement warranty. For complete warranty

11. Should I swap out my windows when residing my house or can I save that for later?
Choosing when to swap out existing windows will depend on the homeowner. Consider the advantages of replacing
windows during the residing process. Some benefits may include the ease of replacing the windows once the existing
siding has been removed compared to installing windows after a siding upgrade. Performing these two upgrades
during the same time frame could save on labor and reduce the number of interruptions to your daily schedule
caused by construction.
12. How would LP SmartSide perform on a tiny home, where weight is as important as durability?
There are several advantages of using LP SmartSide Lap and Panel Siding in tiny home construction. Not only is
our lap siding lighter in weight than some other lap siding products, and approximately 60% less than fiber cement
siding, but our panel siding can also double as structural bracing. Combining a wood structural panel and a finished
siding can eliminate the need for an additional layer of wall sheathing, therefore helping to reduce the overall weight
of the tiny home.
