INSTALLATION GUIDE

Brass Pipe

1. Apply either pipe joint compound or sealant tape to male threads.

2. Put Pipe Fitting into female thread and tighten with a wrench.

Brass Compression

1. Make sure that the tubing is cut square and free from any

damage or debris including dings, dents, burrs, paint, putty or

gouges that may prevent the connection from sealing properly.

2. Slide the nut, then compression sleeve onto the tube. Threaded

end of nut must face toward fitting.

3. Slide the compression fitting onto the tube until the tube bottoms

out. Then thread the nut onto the fitting, and hand tighten. DO

NOT USE a “PUTTY” or gasket type material. Use of such

materials may cause a water leak.

4. Using one wrench to stabilize the fitting, the other to tighten the

nut. Caution：Do Not Overtighten.

5. Attach the tubing to the other end of the fitting, and then check

for leaks. If a leak is present, tighten the appropriate nut.

Brass Flare 1. Cut tube and remove burr. 2. Slide nut on tube, threaded end facing end of tube. 3. Flare tube following flaring tool manufacturer instructions to provide 45° SAE flare. 4. Thread nut on to fitting body "handtight". 5. With correct wrench tighten to a solid feel. ATTENTION: 1. Over-tightening and dirt can damage fittings and/or tube causing leaks. 2. Lubrication of flare faces and threads is always recommended when practical.
