4.2 Checking Air Filter Automatic Drains
The drains should be checked weekly to be sure they are working properly. To check this, insert a
small screwdriver into the bottom of the drain and push the float valve up. No more than about 2
ounces (57 g) of water or oil should come out.
4.3 Replacing 1st Stage-Filter and 2nd Stage-Filter Elements
Before servicing the air filters, be sure to remove (retract) the camera from the furnace, disconnect
the air supply to both the lens system and camera enclosure and shut off the input air supply to the
Air Filtration System.
The filter elements for the 1st Stage-Filter and 2nd Stage-Filter should be replaced annually
depending on input air quality. The bowl housings for the filters are removed from the bottom to
access the filter element assembly. After replacing the filter elements and before turning the air
back on, clean all fittings and hoses to avoid spraying contaminants into the housing or lens.
Reconnect the air lines to the camera assembly and lens system, turn the air back on and reinsert
the camera into the furnace to continue normal operation.

is recommended that spare parts be kept in storage in the event of a component failure.
