2 Configuring Video Settings
The Video Tab enables you to adjust the settings for images and videos. This chapter provides
details on how to use these settings.
Note: Only the Auto-Cal setting will save between camera power cycles – all other
settings are temporary unless you click Save.
2.1 Display Settings
2.1.1 Display Adjustment Mode
The Display Adjustment Mode determines if the Brightness and Contrast are adjusted
automatically or manually by an operator. There are four options:
All Manual
The operator determines the brightness and contrast.
Automatic Brightness,
Manual Contrast
Camera controls the b
rightness level
and the
operator determines
contrast levels.
Automatic
Contrast,
Manual Brightness
Camera controls the contrast level and
the operator determines
brightness levels.
All Automatic
Camera controls both brightness an
d contrast.
2.1.2 Automatic Mode Settings
Automatic Mode Settings are only applicable when the camera controls brightness and/or
contrast.
There are three options:
Minimum Bias
The darkest
(coldest) region of the image is used to set the video
brightness/contrast.
Average Bias
The average temperature of the image is used to set the video
brightness/contrast.
Offset Bias
An offset can be added to the automatically calculated
brightness/contrast values. This can be useful for displays that have
different settings and need tweaking.
