ABOUT SHARING DATA CONNECTION

If your subscription includes mobile data, you can turn your phone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot to share your phone’s data connection with

up to 8 other devices, e.g. a computer, a tablet or another phone.

START SHARING YOUR DATA CONNECTION

1 On a Home screen, touch the Menu key (=).

2 Touch “System settings”.

3 Under “Wireless & networks”, touch “More …”.

4 Touch “Tethering & portable hotspot”.

5 Tick off “Portable Wi-Fi hotspot”.

The phone will start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name (SSID).

6 From your computer or other device, nd and join your phone’s network.

While your phone is sharing its mobile data connection as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, a “Wi-Fi hotspot” icon will appear in the Status bar.

STOP SHARING YOUR DATA CONNECTION

1 Drag the Status bar down to open the Notications panel.

2 In the Notications panel, touch the “Tethering or hotspot active” notication.

3 In the “Tethering & portable hotspot” screen that opens, remove the check mark next to “Portable

Wi-Fi hotpost”.
