Shortening Cordless Blinds

1. When the blind is hanging, fully extend the blind all the way down past your window.

2. Start with the first slat beneath the window.

3. Reach through with scissors at a 45-degree angle, making sure to not cut the central lift cord.

a. Cut through the hole

b. Repeat for all lift cord locations and all remaining slats

4. Now lift the bottom rail until it is in the position you desire.

5. Pop out the plug located underneath the bottom rail using a sharp object such as a screwdriver.

6. Pull out the ladder cord and let the ladder hand straight down.

7. Cut the outside ladder cord 2.5 inches longer than the bottom rail.

8. Reinsert the newly cut ladder cord in the hole and reinsert the plug.

a. Repeat this for all ladder locations b. Ensure the same amount of ladder cord is inserted into each plug. This will ensure the bottom rail is level. 9. If you notice your blinds is creeping up, then add weight to the bottom rail. Please note that by shortening, you are voiding the warranty.
