y 1. Open the battery cover and install four alkaline AA batteries in the battery compartment, ensuring that battery polarity is correct. Close the battery compartment cover. 2. Plug the end of the cuff tubing into the monitor connector as shown at right. y y 3. See illustrations above. Apply the cuff around the upper arm as shown in the cuff label diagram. The cuff should not be too tight or too loose; two fingers should be easily inserted between cuff and upper arm.
