NIGHT VISION Without getting too technical and confusing, let’s try to understand how this device works and what it can and cannot do: 1. Your night vision device works on the principle of amplifying (intensifying) available light.
please be sure not to turn the unit on during daylight or in a welllit room – the image will be way too bright for your comfortable viewing and it also may permanently burn the tube inside the unit and will surely void your warranty. Please note that for the safety of this device it has protective lens cover with special filter – to test the unit during daytime when you bring your newly bought unit home, or in the shop before you buy it.

NIGHT VISION MODE: Your Day/Night vision system comes with three major parts: Base Night Vision Module Daylight Module Out of the box the unit comes as base connected with the Night Vision Module (see image below). INSTALLING THE BATTERY: When using with the night module, your night vision unit operates on one 3V Night Vision Lithium battery, also Module known as 123type. connected to To install the battery, Base remove the Battery Compartment Cover (4).
The LDN-ERS36M Night Module features an Image Intensifier Tube of Generation-2+, which has enough light sensitivity to function outdoors without the help of the Infrared Illuminator. It may however be beneficiary to purchase an extended range IR illuminator for long distance shooting or small game hunting.
ADJUSTING THE RETICLE: Your night vision unit is equipped with a sighting mark called RETICLE, (MILDOT type) which can be seen in the field of view. Each dot equals 2 mils. Please note that the reticle can be illuminated by rotating the Reticle Illumination Control (6). The battery required for illuminating the reticle is CR2032. It is included with the unit. To change the battery – unscrew the top cap of the Reticle Illumination Control (6), remove the battery and replace it with the new one the same way.
