Create an SNMP Group Settings
After creating the SNMP View Confi g, it is required to create SNMP Group Settings or
The Group Name, Security Model and Security Level comprise the identifi er of the
SNMP Group Settings. Groups with these three items set the same are considered to be
the same Group. You can confi gure an SNMP Group Settings and control SNMP access
by providing the users in various groups with different Management rights using the
Read View, Write View and Notify View.
Create an SNMP User Confi g
The User confi gured in SNMP Group Settings can Manage the Switch using the Client
program on a Management Station. The specifi ed Username and the Auth/Privacy
Password are used by an SNMP Management Station to access the SNMP Agent,
functioning as a Password.
The SNMP module is used to confi gure the SNMP functions of the Switch and includes
three submenus: SNMP Confi g, SNMP SNMP Notifi cation and RMON.
13.1 SNMP Confi g
The SNMP Confi g is implemented on the SNMP Confi g, SNMP View Confi g, SNMP
Group Settings, SNMP User Confi g and SNMP Community Confi g pages.
13.1.1 Global Confi g
To enable SNMP, please confi gure the SNMP function globally on this page.
Choose the menu SNMP>>SNMP Confi g>>SNMP Confi g to load the following page:
