6.1.12 Hardware*
Use this menu to define hardware properties such as total energy compensation, vario
indicators layout, compass calibration, FLARM module settings, AHRS settings, NMEA output
and data which will be exchanged between the rear and front display units. Some items
may be greyed out when the selected option is not available.
6.1.12.1 Vario unit settings – TE compensation*
All settings in this menu are related to the glider.
6.1.12.1.1 TE compensation - Digital Total Energy Compensation
There are two ways by which the vertical speed can be corrected for total energy:
 digital TE compensation based on speed changes with time
 Pneumatic compensation with a total energy probe.
