5-14 Configuration and Operation
Example For an IPC application, you should set the IUT parameter to GMT time. To set it, type:
IUT=YYMMDDhhmmssZ<Enter>
where YYMMDDhhmmss is the year, month, day, hour, minute and second respectively.
Note: The parameter DTS must be set to “Y” in order for the reader to report time in seconds.
The parameter IUM must be set to “Y” in order for the Reader to generate and store a special
message each time the RTC is set by the IUT command.
Configuring Reader Motion Sensor Driven Mode of Operation
In this mode, the MS is connected to the Mother Board MBD21 as shown in Figure 5-5. One MS
controlls all Exciters connected to the Reader.

The following parameters define the Reader MS Driven Mode of operation:
ROD, IOF, IOM, ROE, DNT, HMS, DIS, HOA, HOS.
For detailed explanations refer to the RFID System S21 Reference Guide.
Example ROD=Y<Enter> - enables MS Driven Mode;
IOF=Y<Enter> - LF field and data buffering is turned ON/OFF by MS;
IOM=Y<Enter> - special message is generated every time MS changes its status;
