Configuring Exciter Motion Sensor Driven Mode of Operation
Configuration and Operation 5-15
ROE=100<Enter> - after MS turns inactive, LF field and data buffering remain enabled for
5sec;
DNT=Y<Enter> - special message is generated if no tag is received before MS turns inactive;
HMS=24<Enter> - special message is generated if MS never turned active in 24hrs;
DIS=Y<Enter> - adds special field to the buffered message indicating MS status;
HOA=H<Enter> - MS is concidered active when OS line is at +5V;
HOS<Enter> - returns the current status of MS (High or Low).
Configuring Exciter Motion Sensor Driven Mode of Operation
In this mode, each exciter is controlled individually by its own MS. One or two Motion Sensors can
be connected to the Exciter LFA21. Figure 5-6 shows the connection of one MS. Similarly, the
second MS can be connected to the MS2 input. When two MSs control one Exciter, either one of
them can turn the LF field on.
Note Motion Sensor contacts must be normally closed when there is no motion. Unused MS input must
be shorted to the Ground by means of wire in the connector.

The following commands/parameters define the Exciter MS Driven Mode of operation:
:ENABLE:MS:EXCITER n, :DISABLE:MS:EXCITER n, :TEST:MS:EXCITER n, EMS.
For detailed explanations refer to the RFID System S21 Reference Guide.
Note There is a fixed extension time of 5sec when the LF field remains ON after MS becomes inactive.
