Modular distribution strips
The cross-connection is integrated into the
individual distributor elements. On the one
side is the female connector, on the other
side the male connector. These snap
together when the individual elements are
pressed together. Separate time-
consuming cross-connection is no longer
necessary. Because of the modular
construction the length of the distributor
strip can be varied to fit the individual
purpose.

Initiator / actuator terminals
Advantages of the system
The enclosures containing terminals are
often mounted in almost inaccessible
places near to the machine. It is in such
situations that the terminals need to be as
small as possible and as easy as possible
to install and wire, without adversely
affecting the marking and allocation of the
wires.
Initiator/Actuator terminals from the
Z Series are ideal for such situations
thanks to their modular construction.
Distribution module system
The terminals needed to wire up initiators
and actuators consist of a base element
and distributor elements that latch on to
this base element. The base element itself
has only the connection for the signal line.
The plus, minus and earth (PE) lines are
connected directly to the distributor
elements.
Marking systems
The distributor elements are coloured
reddish brown, blue and green-yellow so
there is no need for additional marking.
The signal line can be marked with dekafix
or WS standard markers.
In automation initiators (e.g. proximity
switches) and actuators (e.g. magnetic
valves) play an important role in controlling
the processes in plants and machinery. To
reduce the amount of wiring they are
grouped and wired directly on the
machinery.
