Improved Design
Compared to earlier designs, the E7 engines
include improvements required to accommodate
higher horsepower ratings and future emission
standards. These changes require increased
displacement, higher peak cylinder pressures
and a superior engine cooling system. This was
all accomplished without a substantial change in
engine weight.
