Keeptheengineoilattheproperlevelandchangeitattherecommendedintervals.

Alwaysreplacetheoilltersatthesametimeaswhentheoilischanged.

OilQuality

MACKInc.recognizesengineoilsthatmeetorexceedthestandardsgivenby

AmericanPetroleumInstitute(API)fortheoilclassicationslistedinthismanual.

OnlyoilslicensedtocarrytheAPIsymbolshouldbeused.Lubricantsmeeting

APIstandardshaveprovidedmaximumenginelifewhenusedtogetherwiththe

recommendedoilandoillterchangeintervals.

EO-OPremiumPlus(orVDS-4)dieselengineoilismandatoryforuseinall2010

emissioncompliantMACKengines.Chassisequippedwitha2010emission

compliantengine,whichcanbeidentiedbythepresenceofaDieselParticulateFilter

(DPF),alsorequiretheuseofUltraLowSulfurDiesel(ULSD)fuel.EO-OPremium

PlusoilsexceedthenewAPIservicecategoryCJ-4.

CAUTION

DONOTaddextraoiladditives.Additivessuchasbreak-inoils,topoils,

graphitizers,andfriction-reducingliquidsarenotnecessaryandcanharmthe

engine.

OilChangeIntervals

Thelengthoftimeanenginecanoperatebeforeanoilchangedependsonthequality

oilused,thetypeoffuelused,fuelconsumption,engineoilconsumption,vehicle

application,levelofdustintheair,andfuelconsumption.Thechangeintervalsgiven

inthismanualaremaximumintervals.Ifthevehicleisoperatinginheavy-duty

operation,dustyoroff-roadconditions,etc.,reducetheintervalsformorefrequentoil
