It senses the signal just after the level control, so adjustments to the level control will affect the sig/limit indicator.
Mackie’s HD-Series Powered Subwoofers include a switch that allows you to quickly invert the polarity of the subwoofer’s output relative to the input signal it is receiving from the mixer or other sound source. But what exactly does that mean? A subwoofer works by literally pumping air as the woofer cone moves in and out with respect to the cabinet in which it is housed. It does so according to the low-frequency portion of the signal it receives from the sound source.
HD1801 Rigging Rigging Hardware and Accessories HD1801s may be individually flown using M10 x 1.5 x 37 mm forged shoulder eyebolts. WARNING: Installation should only be done by an experienced technician. Improper installation may result in damage to the equipment, injury or death. Make sure that the subwoofer is installed in a stable and secure way in order to avoid any conditions that may be dangerous for persons or structures.
To reiterate, Mackie is not in the business of providing complete rigging systems, either as designers, manufacturers, or installers. It is the responsibility of the installer to provide a properly engineered, load-certified rigging system for supporting the subwoofer from structure. The illustrations provided below are just a couple of rigging possibilities.
HD1801 Placement AC Power As mentioned in the previous two pages, HD1801 subwoofers may be flown. However, they are designed to sit on the floor or stage, as well. A socket is provided on top of the HD1801 for mounting other Mackie loudspeakers. Use a suitable speaker mounting pole to mount them on the HD1801. See the hookup diagrams starting on page 4. Be sure the HD1801 is plugged into an outlet that is able to supply the correct voltage specified for your model.
If you think your Mackie product has a problem, please check out the following troubleshooting tips and do your best to confirm the problem.
