2 Shuttle along the timeline. When you get
to roughly the selection in-point, hold
down the Shift switch.
3 Continue shuttling down the timeline.
When you get to roughly the out-point, re-
lease the Shift key. Your “rough selection”
is now defined.
4 Press the Scrub switch (labeled Edit on
MM-16) to enter scrub mode.
5 Press the Left Arrow key to move the
scrub position to the selection start.
6 Hold down the Shift switch (to retain
your selection), and scrub the selection in-
point until you reach the desired location.
7 Press the Right Arrow key to move the
scrub out-point to the selection end.
8 Hold down the Shift switch (to retain
your selection), and scrub the selection
out-point until you reach the desired loca-
tion.
To make selections in quick succession, de-
fine a selection using any of the techniques de-
scribed above, press the Down Arrow to
capture it as a Memory Location, and continue
down the timeline to capture more selections.
Resetting the
Penny & Giles MM-16 or
DC-16
If power is interrupted, or if for some other
reason your MM-16/DC-16 needs to be re-
set (powered off and on again), you should
follow these steps:
To reset the MM-16/DC-16 with Pro Tools:
1 Power down the controller.
2 Disable the MM-16/DC-16 in the Periph-
erals dialog, and close the dialog.
3 Power up the controller.
4 Reenable the controller in the Peripher-
als dialog.
