Let’s look at the front panel connections first. Start by simply connecting your instrument to the MDB-1P input jack. And end by simply connecting a cable from the thru jack to your amplifier’s input jack.

Low Cut Switch [MDB-1A] When on, the low-cut switch (often referred to as a high-pass filter) cuts bass frequencies below 120 Hz. 5 6 OUTPUT GROUND LIFT We recommend that you use low-cut on every microphone application except kick drum, bass guitar, or bassy synth patches. These aside, there isn’t much down there that you want to hear, and filtering it out makes the low stuff you do want much more crisp and tasty.
