MR Series
FAQ
What input options are on the MR Series Monitors?
MR Series monitors have three input options:
TRS /4 inch input (balanced/unbalanced)
XLR input (balanced)
RCA input (unbalanced)
Are these monitors active or passive? What is the difference between the two?
Are the MR Series Studio Monitors THX PM3 certified?
What is the “HIGH FREQ FILTER” switch used for?
What does the POLARITY switch do?
The POLARITY switch will flip the MRS0 Subwoofer 80° out of phase. This is used for phase cancellation issues.
These monitors are active. Active monitors have a built-in amplifier as its source of power whereas passive monitors require
external power.
No, but if you are interested in THX PM3 certified studio monitors you can look at our HRmk2 Monitor Series.
The “HIGH FREQ FILTER” switch stands for High Frequency Filter. Moving the switch to “+2dB” will boost the high frequencies
by 2dB. Moving the switch to “-2dB” will reduce the high frequencies by -2dB.
What is the “CROSSOVER” on the MRS10 used for?
The CROSSOVER is used to split the incoming signal into two paths. One path will be the higher frequencies that are sent to
the monitors while the other path is the lower frequencies that will be sent to the subwoofer. Depending on what frequency you
select, that will be the frequency where the two paths will split.
Can you plug in a footswitch?
Yes, you can plug in a footswitch into the MRS0. The footswitch bypasses the subwoofer and returns the connected monitors
to full range.
