Upgrading From NEO Or PLEXUS To A Higher MADRIX Version

The NEO Quick Start Guide describes which elements should be installed when you wish to use the

MADRIX NEO interface. If you want to upgrade to higher version of MADRIX (e.g. MADRIX basic),

please re-install the software and choose the necessary components. You will need to install at

least the "MADRIX KEY Driver". Other components may be necessary according to your

requirements. Please see above for more details.

1.6 Do I Need Audio Input?

Using Audio Input

A sound card is a computer expansion card that can input and output

audio signals controlled by computer programs. Normally, a sound card provides the audio

component for multimedia applications and is used for music composition, video or audio editing,

presentation/education, and entertainment (games). Many computers have an integrated sound

card, while others need these expansion cards to be installed if audio capability is desired.

MADRIX works with and without an audio signal.

Static Color effects (SCE) are working without an audio signal.

Similarly, MADRIX offers Sound2Light (S2L) and Music2Light (M2L) effects. Both require an audio

signal in order to be functioning.
