You can use audio sources, such as Winamp

Player

, Apple iTunes, Apple QuickTime Player

, Real Player
®
, Ultramixer
®
, etc. Audio input for
sound cards, e.g. microphone or Line-IN input, is supported as well.
Apart from that, you can also play any music from your CD-player, DVD-player, MP3-player,
cassette recorder, DAT-player, radio, etc. Please use the Line-IN port of your sound card in this
instance.
Why A Professional Sound Card?
We advise to use a professional/semi-professional sound card to obtain best performance of the
audio analysis.
Why ASIO?
Sound cards that provide an ASIO driver can deliver excellent results. The MADRIX audio analysis
will very fast and precise. Sound2Light and Music2Light effects will look better. It is highly
recommended using a sound card with native ASIO support.
MADRIX also natively supports the Windows Audio Session API (WASAPI) which delivers very good
results under Windows Vista and Windows 7, even without ASIO.
