2 Graphical User Interface (GUI)

Introduction

A graphical user interface (abbr.: GUI), is a particular type of user interface for interacting with

a computer. It makes use of graphical images and widgets in addition to text to represent the

information and actions available to the user. Usually the actions are performed via direct

manipulation of graphical elements. GUI design is a very important adjunct to our application

programming.

The goal of MADRIX is to enhance the usability of lighting control with an intuitive and

logical design. The visible graphical interface includes a number of graphical elements, which

allow for a prolific interaction with the program.
