OPERATING YOUR REFRIGERATOR Temperature Control • • • • • Your refrigerator has one control for regulating the temperature. The temperature control is located on the upper right hand corner of the interior compartment. The first time you turn the unit on, adjust the temperature control knob to “6” and run for at least 2 hours before putting food inside. This will ensure the cabinet is thoroughly chilled before food is put in.
CHANGING THE REVERSIBLE DOOR NOTE: Unplug the unit and lay on its back, be careful of the power cord. • Remove the door Hinge and foot from the underside of the fridge (Illustration 1). • Carefully lift the refrigerator door, placing it on a padded surface to avoid scratching. • Unscrew the upper hinge (beneath the plastic top) (Illustration 2) • Remove the upper hinge to another side and secure the upper hinge with the screws.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning Your Refrigerator • Upon installation of your new appliance, it is recommended that it be cleaned thoroughly. • Turn off the refrigerator first and then unplug the unit from the wall outlet. • Remove all food content. • Wash the inside with a damp warm cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water. • Be sure to keep the door gasket (seal) clean to keep the unit running efficiently.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE You can solve many common refrigerator problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible service call.
