¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 egg
¼ cup canola or vegetable oil
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons hot water

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 350˚F.
2. Spray the inside of a 7-inch cake pan with nonstick cooking spray. Then
line it with parchment paper, making sure to bring it up the sides of the
pan.
3. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda,
baking powder and salt together.
4. Add in the egg, oil, buttermilk and vanilla extract and mix for 2 minutes.
Add the hot water to thin the batter out.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it in the air fryer. Cook
for 25 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted into the center of the cake
and comes out clean.
6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a bit before removing the cake to
cool completely on a wire rack.
7. Top with your favorite icing or glaze.
