Step 1: (Carefully read all instructions before
installation) Remove the OEM system by loosening
the clamps rearward of the catalytic converters.
Remove the Resonator Assembly support bracket.
Working front to rear remove the complete OEM
system. Be sure to retain all hardware and rubber
isolators as they will be needed to install your new
MAGNAFLOW system.
Step 3: Use the OEM clamps to attach the Tru-X
Assembly to the catalytic converters (Leave all
clamps and fasteners loose for final adjustment of
the complete system). Next attach the D/S and P/S
Mid Pipes to the Tru-X Assembly and secure with the
supplied clamps. Make sure the brackets on the Mid
Pipe Assmblies line up as shown and loosley fasten
together with the supplied 8.0mm fasteners. Attach
the Tail Pipe Assemblies to the Mid Pipes, again
making sure the brackets line up and secure with the
supplied clamps and 8.0mm fasteners. Locate all
hangers into existing rubber isolators. Re-attach
support bracket.
Step 4: With all components mounted loosely,
adjust the system for overall aesthetics and
clearance of frame & bodywork. (MAGNAFLOW
recommends at least 1/2" of clearance between the
exhaust system and any body panels to prevent
heat-related body damage or fire.)
Step 5: Once a final position has been chosen for
the new system, evenly tighten all fasteners from
front to rear. The supplied band clamps must be
VERY tight to properly align the pipes and prevent
leaks (Approximately 40ft-lbs). Inspect all fasteners
after 25-50 miles of operation and retighten if
necessary.
