LANGUAGE SETTINGS F or English, French, or Spanish -speaking TV owners, an onscreen LANGUAGE option is present. TUNER MODE CONTROL T he Tuner Mode allows you to c hange the LCD TV’s signal input to Cable or Air (antenna). FACTORY RESET INSTALL Y our TV can be reset to the original factory settings by performing the LANGUAGE TUNER MODE AUTO PROGRAM CHANNEL EDIT FACTORY RESET following steps. 1 Press the MENU button on the remote control to see the onscreen menu. 2 Press the / button to highlight the INSTALL menu, then press the / button to enter. 3 Press the / button repeatedly to highlight the FACTORY RESET control, then press the / button to enter.

REMOTE CONTROL -FOR TV OPERATIONS Standby (Power) button Press to turn the LCD TV on or off. Number buttons Press to select TV channels. When selecting single-digit channels, press the number of the desired channel. The LCD TV will pause for a few seconds then tune to the selected channel. Note: +10 button is for DVD use. Smart Picture button Press repeatedly to select either Personal, Movie, Sports, We ak signal, Multimedia , or Night picture setting.
REMOTE CONTROL -FOR DVD OPERATIONS OPEN/CLOSE button Use to eject the disc being played in the disc slot, the main unit must be set to DVD status. DVD TITLE button Use to bring up the DVD title menu. PLAY button Use to begin the DVD playback. STOP button Use to stop the DVD playback. PREV/NEXT button Use to skip to the previous or next chapter . PAUSE button Use to pause the DVD playback. FF/FR button Use to play DVD fast for ward/ backward. ZOOM button Use to zoom the DVD playback picture.
TIMER MENU CONTROLS Y our LCD TV comes with an onscreen clock. The TV can also be set to turn on or off at a specific time and tune to a specific channel when it powers itself on. Smart Sound: Please refer to page 17 for details on Smart Sound Settings. 120HZ~10KHZ: Allows you to adjust 120HZ, 500HZ, 1K5HZ, 5KHZ, 10KHZ. Balance: Adjust the balance of the sound.
SMART PICTURE CONTROL hether you’re watching a movie or a video game, your LCD TV has video control preset that will match with your current program source or content. Smart Picture quickly resets your TV’s video controls for a number of different types of programs and viewing conditions that you may have in your home.
SMART LOCK FEATURES T he SMART Lock feature is an integrated circuit that receives and processes data sent by broadcasters, or other program providers, that contain program content advisories.When programmed by the viewer, a TV with SMART Lock can respond to the content advisories and block program content that may be found objectionable (such as offensive language, violence, sexual situations, etc.). This is a great feature to censor the type of viewing children may watch.
SMART LOCK PASSWORD ver the next few pages you’ll learn how to block programs and understand the rating terms for cer tain broadcasts. First, set password. CLOSED CAPTIONS C losed Captioning (CC) allows you to read the voice content of television programs on the TV screen. DVD MODE CONTROL Play Discs 1 2 Press POWER to turn on the unit. 3 4 5 6 7 Insert a disc into the disc slot, with the label side facing to yourself. 1 Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select DVD. Press OK button to confirm. The unit begins to read the disc. Press PLAY( ) to play the disc. T To Repeat a Title, Chapter or Disc 1 Press REPEAT button repeatedly to select the followings: CHAPTER: repeats the currently playing chapter. TITLE: repeats the currently playing title. ALL: repeats the currently playing disc. To Repeat a Track or Disc 2 Press REPEAT button repeatedly to select the followings: TRACK: repeats the currently playing track.

TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS-TV Symptoms Items to Check and Actions to follow “Ghost” or double images • This may be caused by obstruction to the antenna due to high rise buildings or hills. Using a highly directional antenna may improve the picture. No power • Check that the TV’s AC power cord is plugged into the mains socket. • Unplug the television, wait for 60 seconds. Then re-insert plug into the mains socket and turn on the television again.

CARE AND CLEANING WARNING concerning stationary images on the TV Screen: Do not leave fixed images on the screen for extended periods of time. This can cause uneven aging of the LCD panel. Normal use of the TV should involve viewing of programs that have constantly moving or changing images. Do not leave moving images on screen for extended periods of time.
