TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS-TV
Symptoms Items to Check and Actions to follow
“Ghost” or
double images
• This m ay be caused by obstruction to the antenn a due to high rise buildings or hills.
Using a highly directional antenna may improve the picture .
No power
• Check t hat the TV ’sAC powe r cord is plug ged into the m ains socket .
• Unplu g the te levis ion , w ait for 60 seconds. Then re -i n sert plug into t he main s socket and tu rn on th e
television ag ain.
No picture
• Check antenn a connections at t he bottom of the T V to see if they are properly connected to the T V.
• Po ssible broadcast station trouble. Try another channel.
• Adjust the contrast and brightness settings. Try another auto picture set ting.
• Check the Closed Captions contro l. Some TEX T modes could block the screen.
• Check if you selected t he correct AV source.
No picture and
powe r switched
on
• Your T V has a protective mode in case there is t oo much heat build- up. Check the clearance around
the vents of the device to be certain there are no blocking walls or cabinets which would limit the air
flow.
Picture position
adjustment
When displ aying a High Defi nitio n signal from t he YPb Pr inputs or HDM I input , if necessary, you can
adjust the pic ture position to the center of the screen wit h the cursor lef t/right or up/down buttons on
the re mote control. This may be needed due to slight dif ferences in output signals from different brands
and ty pes of HD sources boxe s .
Notes: Most High Defini tion receiver boxe s also have pic ture - positioning controls in t heir menu
systems . If t he TV cur sor controls run out of range before the picture is correctly positoned, t he
receiver box controls will need to be adjusted.
No photo, music
or video play or in
poor quality only
• Check i f the source complies with a supported code.
No sound
•IncreasetheVOLUME.
• Check t hat the TV is not muted , press t he MUTE button on the re mote control.
•Whennosignalisdetected,theTVautomaticallyswitchesoffthesound.Thisisproperoperationand
does not indicate a malfunction.
Good sound but
poor color or no
picture
•Adjustthecontrast,color,tintandbrightnesssetting.Tryanotherautopicturesetting.
Snow ish picture
and noise
• Check t he antenna connection.
Te levision not
responding to
remote c ontrol
• Check whether the batterie s are working. Replace if necessar y.
•Cleantheremotecontrolsensorlensonthemonitor.
•OperatingrangebetweenTVandtheremotecontrolshouldnotbemorethanapproximatelytwentyfeet.
•You canstillusethebuttonsontherightsideofyourTV.
• Check if the remote control is in the correct mode.
Control of
accessor y devices
• The infr ared signals of the screen may infi uence the re ception sensibility of other peripherals S olution:
replace the batteries of the remote control of other devices. E.g. ke ep aw ay a wireless headphone
from w ithin a radius of approximately four feet.
The soft ware will
not install

Standby
Your T V consumes energy less t han 1w in the standby mode.

After improper
shutdown
If your TV has been shutdown in an improper way (e.g. power drop, power cord plug out), star ting up
the TV again will take a longer time than usual.
