_ye S(uper)4qdeo connection on the rear of the 77/can provide
ou with better picture detail and clarity fi_r the playback of
accessory sources than the normal antenna picture connections.
,VOTE: The accessory device must have an S4"TDEO OUT(put)
jack in onter fi_r you to complete the connection on this page.
i Connect one end of the S-VIDEO CABLE to the S-
VqDEO jack on die back of the TV. Then connect one end
the ALrDIO (red and white,) CABLES to die AV2 in
AUDIO L and R(left and right) jacks on the rear of die T%L

Connect other end of the S-VIDEO CABLE to the S-
VqDEO OUT jack on the back of the VCR. Then comlect
the oflter ends of rite AUDIO (red and white) CABLES R_
the AUDIO (left and righ0 OUT jacks on fire rear of fire
VCR.

Turn the VCR and the TV ON.
Press the CH + or - buttons on rite remote, m scroll rite
channels until SVHS appears in the upper left corner of the
T_ r sc_feen.
Now your ready m place a prerecorded video tape in the
VCR and press the PLAY lib button,

The S-VDEO and V']DEO AV2
in(puts) are in parallel. The S-
_UDEO input is dominant when in
use. It"separate video sigmds are
connected to the S-VqDEO mid
_UDEO AV2 in(puts), the signal
fram the VqDEO AV2 in(put) will
not be usable.
Note: The S-_qde,o and Audio
cables needed for flds _x_mtection
are not supplied with your T%'.

_e Monitor (Audioi'_qdeo) out jacks are great Jbr recording
ith a _'CR or used to connect an external audio s3,stemfor
better sound reproduction.
For Audio System Connection:
i Connect one end of the R(ight) and L(eft) AUDIO
(Monitor Out) jacks on fire TV to the R and L audio input
jacks on your atnplifier or sound system. Set the audio sys-
tem's volume m a m_ntd listcning level.
Turn the TV and audio system ON. You can )tow adjust
fire sound level coming from rite audio sys_m with the
VOLUME (+) or (-) button on fire TV or remote, control.
For Second VCR Connection/Recorder:
NOTE: Refer m page 9 for rite proper hookxtp of the first VCR.
Follow the instructions on how m ttme to fire AV 1 chmnte] to
view a pre-recorded tape,
The following steps allow you to connect a second VCR to
record the program while your watching it
Connect one end of the yellow Video Cable m fireMonitor out VIDEO plug, Connect rite other end to fire
VIDEO IN plug on rite second VCR.
Connect one end of the red attd white Audio cable fix_)n

fire Momtor out AUDIO L and R plugs on fire T__to the
AUDIO IN plugs on file VCR.
Turn the Second VCR ON, insert a bhtek VHS tape and
it's ready m record what's being viewed on the TV screen.
Second VCR ConnectionlRecorder
Audio and _)deo Side Inputs" are available fi_r a quick connec-
tion of a _'CR to playback video from a camera or attach a
gaming device. Use the CH + or - buttons on the remote control
to tune these inputs.
i Connect the video (yellow) cable from fire Video output
on fire Camera (or _tecess_a T device) to rite Video (yellow)
htput located on file Side of the T%r.
For Stereo Devices: (kmnect fire audio cable (red and
white,) fTOTDrite Audio Left and Right Outputs on rite
Camera to a Sterex_ to Mono adapter. Then plug the single
end of fire adapter m the Audio N (wldte) jack on the Si0e
of the television.

For Mono Devices: C_mnect one end of rite audio cable
from the Audio Out jack on fire device k) rite Audio In
(white) jack on file Side, of file television.
Turn the TV mid the acoessory device ON.
Press the CH + or - buttons on fire remote control to mite
the T%r to fire side input jacks. Front' will appear on rite
T_ r sC_eli,
Press the PLAY I_ button on the accessory device m
view playback, or to access the accessory devine (camera,
gaming unit, etc.).
