I fusing an accessory device that is not high definition but uses
omponent _'_deojacks. The AV1 jacks on the T_, offer the user
the possibility Of better video reproduction using the Component
_deo Inputs. The color d{_erence signals (Pb, Pr) and the lumi-
nance (Y) signal are connected and received separately, which
allows &r improved color bandwidth information (not possible
when using composite video or S&'ideo connections).

Cotmect the Component (Y_ Pb, Pr) Video OUT jacks
from rite DVD p]ayer (or sfllli]ar device) to rite (_; Pb, Pr)
lN@ut) jacks on the TV. When using rite (kmlponent Video
Inputs, it is best not to connect a signtd to the AV1 Video

Connect file yellow VIDEO CABLE along with file red
and white AUDIO CABLES to fire AUDIO (]eFt and
righ0 OUT(put) jacks on the rear of the accessory device
to the AV1 VIDEO mtd AUDIO IN(put) jacks on the T%'.
Press file AV button on the remote control repeatedly mtmte to rite CVI ch&lntel.
Turn the TV and the DVD (or digital accessory device)ON.
S btsert a DVD disc into rite DVD p]ayer mtd press the
PLAY lib button on the DVD Player (or digital accesso-
ry device)
The description for fife compon&lttvideo connectom may differ
depending on fife DVD player or accessory digital sottrce
equipment used (for examp]e, "_;Pb, Pr; "_;B-'_; R-Y; Y, Cr,
Cb). althottgh abbreviations mid terms may vtu_y,file let_ b

Press the AV button on the remote control repeatedly to
ttme rite AV2 ch&lmel. The S-_qdeo Input is dominate over
the AV2 Video Input.
Turn the VCR, DVD or other accessory device ON.
With the VCR (or accessory device) ON and a prerecorded
tape inserted, press the PLAY button to view ffte tape on
the te]evision.
The S-_,qdeo jack &ltdfife AV 2 jacks work togefller. _,r_q_eIta
device is cormet,'ted to the S-%qdeojack, do not connect a signed to
fife AN 2 1NVSdex_jack. T_fiscould cause an over-lapping of two
vide_ images on the T%r s_reen.
