WHO IS COVERED?
You must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. A sales
receipt or other document showing that you purchased the product is
considered proof of purchase.
WHAT IS COVERED?
Warranty coverage begins the dayyou buy your product for one year
thereafter (30 days for the projection TV screen),all parts will be repaired
or replaced,and labor and transportation are free. From one to two years
from the dayof purchase,you payfor the replacement or repair of all
parts except the cathode ray tube and the "Clear-Vu" lens,and for all
labor and transportation charges.After two years from the day of
purchase,you payfor the replacement or repair of all parts except the
"Clear-Vu" lens (which isguaranteed againstmanufacturer's defects for
the r_eof the product), andfor alllabor andtransportation charges.
All parts,includingrepaired and replaced parts, are covered only for
the original warranty period. When the warranty on the product
expires, the warranty on all replaced and repaired parts also expires.
WHAT IS EXCLUDED?
Your warranty doesnot cover:
labor chargesfor installationor setup of the product,adjustmentof
customer contro}s on the product, and installationor repair of
antennasystemsoutsideof the product.
product repair and/or part replacement becauseof misuse,
accident,unauthorized repair or other causenot within the control
of Philips Consumer ElectronicsCompany.
reception problemscausedby signal conditionsor cable or antenna
systemsoutsidethe unit
a product that requires modificationor adaptationto enableit to
operate in anycountry other than the country for which it was
designed,manufactured, approvedand/or authorized, or repair of
productsdamagedby these modifications.
incidentalor consequentialdamagesresulting from the product.
(Somestates do not allow the exclusionof incidentalor
consequentialdamages,so the above exclusionmay not applyto
you. This includes,but is not limited to, prerecorded material
whether copyrightedor not copyrighted.)

WHERE IS SERVICE AVAILABLE?
Warranty service is available in all countries where the product iS
officially distributed by Philips Consumer Electronics Company. In
countries where Philips Consumer Electronics Company does not
distribute the product, the local Philips service organization will attempt
to provide service (although there may be a delay if the appropriate
spare parts and technical manual(s) are not readily available).
MAKE SURE YOU KEEP...
Pleasekeep your salesreceipt or other document showingproof of
purchase. Attach it to this owner's manual and keep both nearby. Also
keep the original box and packing material in caseyou need to return
your product.

Repair mustbe performed by anauthorized servicecenter or a factory

repair. Ifyour dealer iseat an authorized servicecenter, he will direct
you to the authorizedservicecenter engagedby him to service the
products he sells.
(In U.S.A.,Puerto Rico and U.S.Virgin Islands,all impliedwarranties,
including implied warranties of merchantability and fitnessfor a
particular purpose, are limited in durationto the durationof this
express warranty. But, becausesome states do not allow limitations on
how long an implied warranty may last, this limitation may not apply to
you.)
