ultimatelyoverturntheproduct.
Also,donot endangeryourself,or children,byplacingelec-
tronicequipment/toysonthetop ofthecabinet.Suchitems
couldunsuspectinglyfall fromthe top of the setandcause
productdamageand/orpersonalinjury.
7. Wall or CeilingMounting- Theapplianceshouldbe mountedto a
wallorceilingonly asrecommendedbythe manufacturer.
8. Ventilation- Theapplianceshouldbesituatedsothatits locationor
positiondoes not interferewith its properventilation.Forexample,
the applianceshould not besituatedon a bed,sofa, rug, or similar
surface that may block the ventilationopenings;or, placedin a
built-in installation,suchas a bookcaseor cabinetthat mayimpede
theflow of air throughthe ventilationopenings.
9. Heat - The applianceshould be situatedawayfrom heat sources
such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances
(includingamplifiers)that produceheat.
10. Power Sources- The applianceshould be connectedto a power
supplyonlyof the typedescribedinthe operatinginstructionsor as
markedonthe appliance.

bythe manufacturer.
13. Power Lines - An outdoor antennashould be locatedawayfrom
powerlines.
14. OutdoorAntennaGrounding- If anoutsideantennaisconnectedto
thereceiver,besuretheantennasystemis groundedso asto pro-
videsomeprotectionagainstvoltagesurgesand builtup static
charges.
Section810of theNationalElectricCode,ANSI/NFPANo.70-1984,
providesinformationwithrespectto propergroundingofthe mats
andsupportingstructuregroundingof the lead-inwiretoan anten-
na dischargeunit,sizeofgroundingconnectors,locationofanten-
na-dischargeunit,connectionto groundingelectrodesandrequire-
mentsforthegroundingelectrode.SeeFig.below.
15. Non-use Periods - The powercordof the applianceshouldbe
unpluggedfrom the outletwhenleft unusedfor a longperiodof
time.
16. ObjectandLiquid Entry- Careshouldbetakensothatobjectsdo
not falland liquidsarenotspilledintotheenclosurethroughopen-
ings.
17. DamageRequiringService- Theapplianceshouldbe servicedby
qualifiedservicepersonnelwhen:
A. Thepowersupplycordortheplughasbeendamaged;or
B. Objectshavefallen,or liquidhasbeenspilledintothe appli-
ance;or
C. Theappliancehasbeenexposedtorain;or
D. Theappliancedoesnotappearto operatenormallyor exhibits
a markedchangeinperformance;or
E. Theappliancehasbeendropped,orthe enclosuredamaged.
18. Servicing- Theusershould not attemptto servicethe appliance
beyondthat describedin theoperatinginstructions.Allotherservic-
ing shouldbereferredto qualifiedservicepersonnel.
