The type plate is located on the rear of the set.
1 Checkwhetherthe powervoltageas shownonthe type
platecorrespondsto yourlocalpowervoltage,If it doesnot,
consultyourdealerorserviceorganisation,
2 Make sureall connectionshave beenmadebefore
switchingontheACpower supply.
3 Connectthe powercordsuppliedto AC POWER- andto the
wall outlet.Thisswitchesonthe ACpowersupply.
4 PressON/OFFto switchon the set,
,l_ PHILIP5 ,C2,REC_R_EPwill bedisplayed.
• PressON/OFFagainto switchoff the set,
• Press_ onthe remotecontrolto switchthe setto Standby
mode,
Whenthe set is switchedto standby,it is still consuming
somepower,Todisconnectthe set fromthe power
completely,removethe power plugfromthe wall outlet,

- Placethe set ona solid,vibrationfree surface.
- Makesurethere is sufficientspacearoundthe set to
preventoverheating,
- Do not placethe setnearasourceof heat or in direct
sunlight,
- Do not usethe set underextremelydampconditions,
- If the set is placedin a cabinet,makesurethat a 2.5cm
spaceremainsfree onall sidesof the CDrecorderFor
properventilation,
- Activemobilephonesnearto theset maycause
malfunctions,
1 Openthe batterycompartmentcover,
2 Insert2 batteries(AA,LR6or UM-3;as supplied)asshown,
3 Replacethecover.
Note: Werecommendyou use2 batteriesof the sametype
andcondition.
Batteriescontain chemicalsubstances,sothey should
be disposedofproperly.
