Recording DVDs
Some DVDs are copy protected You cannot record or
dub protected discsusingaVCR
Connect the DVD system's VIDEO jack to theVIDEO IN
jack on theVCR
Connect the DVD system's AUDIO OUT jacks to the
AUDIO IN jacks on theVCR This will allow you to make
analogue stereo (two channel, right and left) recordings
]o view DVD playbackwhile recording You must connect
the DVD systemto yourTV usingthe Pr PbY or the S
VIDEO connection
Listening to the playback
ri_./ Connect the DVD system'sDIGITAL IN jack to the
DIGITAL OUTjack on a digitalaudio device
Before starting operation, press AUX/DI on the remote to
"£ " ]_T-"
select u,, ,_ o in order to activate the input source
Recording (digital)
Connect the DVD system'sDIGITAL OUT
(COAXIAL or OPTiCAL)jack to the DIGITAL IN jack
on a digital recording device (DTS DigitalTheatre System
compatible,with a Dolby Digital decoder,for example)
Before starting operation, set the DIGITAL OUTPUT
according to the audio connection See page 19, Setting the
Sound Digital Output
