our VCR (Video Cassette Recorder) can record in Hi-Fi stereo or record a second audio broadcast, and also record
either when both are received as an MTS broadcast. To play back Hi-Fi stereo, you should connect a stereo amplifier
and speakers to your VCR. No additional connections are needed for second audio. In addition to these two left and right Hi-
Fi tracks, there is a normal audio linear monaural track which is automatically recorded for playback on non-HiFi VCR's.

When you press the status button on the remote control, the
various combinations of program display described below will
appear when broadcast signals are received. The type of
broadcast possible are shown below.
/When a program in stereo is received,

When both STEREO and 2ND AUD
appear, an MTS broadcast is being
received. For recording and playback,
select "TV STEREO" or "2ND
AUDIO" you desire as shown to the
right. (Refer to page 26.)
To record in stereo, "TV STEREO"
should be selected in the "TUNER SET
UP" menu.
To record second language alone, "2ND
AUD" should be selected in the
"TUNER SET UP" menu. Only the
second language will be recorded on the
left and right Hi-Fi tracks and the
normal track. To record the main
language, "TV STEREO" should be
selected on the "TUNER SET
UP" display. Only the main language
will be recorded on the left and right
Hi-Fi tracks and the normal track.
