TROUBLESHOOTING FOR ALL TRIODE MODELS
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
No sound, meter lights
are on
• Interconnect not properly
installed
• Preamp set to incorrect
source
• Preamp set to tape monitor
source, if preamp has such
a function
• Power amplifier is off
• Tube failure
• Verify installation of
interconnects
• Turn preamp to input
where tuner is connected
• On preamp defeat tape
monitor function
• Turn amplifier on
• Replace with 6922 tube
*With MD-102t, MD-106t replace
with Amperex bugle Boy 6922
tube (or equivalent)

Anode current (1) (max) 1.07 mA (min) 0.92 mA
Anode current (2) (max) 1.07 mA (min) 0.92 mA
Total harmonic distortion < 1.8%
• MD 106T and MD 102T, test sheets are included in the tube box
• For models MD-102t, MD-106t the tubes are matched, and certified Amperex Bugle
Boy Tubes.
