1 .1 Feat ures a nd Bene t s
The MS-PAE Series inverter/charger is designed to allow easy access to wiring, circuit breakers,
controls and for viewing the LED (Light Emitting Diode) status indicator. Its die cast base-plate
with one piece aluminum cover ensures maximum durability with minimum weight, as well as
cooler more ef cient operation.
The front of the MS-PAE Series is equipped with the following features (refer to gures 1-1 and
1-2):
1
Pow er Sw itch - a momentary push-button switch that alternately turns the inverter On
or Off.
2
St a t us LED I ndicator - this green LED illuminates to provide information on the in-
verter or charger operation.
3
Parallel Stack Connect ion Port ( red la bel) - a RJ45 port that connects to the ME-RTR
Router, which is used to con gure and synchronize multiple MS-PAE units to operate in
parallel for increase power capacity.
CAUTI ON : Connect this Parallel Stack Port connection only to the ME-RTR.
Although the cabling and connectors used in this network system are the same as
Ethernet connectors, this network is not an Ethernet system. Attempting to connect
these two different systems may cause damage and is not covered under warranty.
I nfo: The MS-PAE Series Inverters cannot not be connected in parallel without in-
stalling the optional ME-RTR.
4
Magnum N e t Connect ion Port ( gr een labe l) - a RJ11 port that accepts optional Net-
work capable accessories (i.e. Auto Gen Start or Battery Monitor).
5
Re m ote Con nect ion Port ( blue labe l) - a RJ11 port that allows optional remote control
displays (i.e. ME-RC, ME-ARC, ME-RTR) to be connected.
6
BTS Connect ion Port ( ye llow label) - RJ11 port that accepts the remote Battery Tem-
perature Sensor (BTS) accessory.
7
DC Equipm ent Gr ound Te rm inal - this connection is used to tie the exposed chassis of
the inverter to the DC grounding system. This terminal accepts CU/AL conductors from
#14 to #2 AWG (2.1 to 33.6 mm
2
).
8
AC Entry/ Ex it Conne ct ions - two 3/4” knockouts provided with cable-clamp strain reliefs
to allow and hold the AC input and output eld wiring.
9
I nt a k e Air V ent s - ventilation openings to pull in air to help keep the inverter cool for
peak performance.

Positive DC Te rm ina l - provides 360 degree connection point for the positive (+) cable
from the battery bank; provided with a 5/16-18 stainless Kep or Flange nut on a 5/16-18
bolt (5/8” usable length) to hold the battery cable to the DC terminal which uses.

N ega t ive DC Term in al - provides 360 degree connection point for the negative (-) cable
from the battery bank; provided with a 5/16-18 stainless Kep or Flange nut on a 5/16-18
bolt (5/8” usable length) to hold the battery cable to the DC terminal.
1 2 Mount ing Flange - used to secure the inverter to a shelf or wall.
