Power display (3)
When pressing the push-to-talk button on your microphone, the
bar display shows the relative transmitting power instead of the
S-value. In AM mode, the number of LEDs which are lighted up
vary depending on the type of modulation.

PA (Public Address)
To use the radio as a PA amplifier you have to connect an appro-
priate loudspeaker to the PA jack (15/D).
Pressing the key CB/PA (5) you can switch the radio to PA operation
to make announcements on the occasion of sporting events,
contests, meetings and so on.
During PA operation mode the PA LED (10) lights up.
Push the PTT button of your microphone (1) to make your an-
nouncement. Keep the PTT pressed while speaking.
Keep a sufficient distance between microphone and loudspeaker
to avoid the risk of acoustic feedback.
Adjust the volume by turning the rotary knob on the front (12).
During PA operation all CB functions are off.
Press the CB/PA key (5) to turn back to the CB mode, the PA LED
(10) will turn off.
