OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
Accessible parts may be very hot. Keep young children away from the appliance. Use only in
well-ventilated area. Do not use the
appliance if it has damaged or worn seals. Dot not use the appli-ance if it is leaking, damaged,
or is not operating properly. Do not
modify this appliance. IMPORTANT: Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Keep this booklet and read it when necessary.
IGNITION: 1.Make sure the exhaust vent is facing upward to avoid the damage of tabletop.
2.Press the safety lock button and simultaneously using your thumb to pull down the trigger.
This action will ignite the soldering iron. 3.Hold the ignition button and release the safety lock
button. Move the continuous flame switch to right for a constant flame. 4.Press the Flame Off
button for about 1 second to turn off the flame, gas flowing though the internal catalyst after
ignition will generate heat. If you don’t press the Flame Off button, the temperature of
soldering iron will be too high. EXTINGUISHING: Move the Continuous Flame Switch to left, and
this will cut off the gas supply and extinguish the flame. HEAT GUN: Disassemble the soldering
tip by rotating the tip counterclockwise. The assembly will now be used as hot blower without
the soldering tip. Operation will be the same as above for the soldering iron. TORCH:
Disassemble the soldering assembly by rotating the assembly lock counterclockwise. Take off
the soldering device and install the metal sleeve back to the unit. Operation will be the same as
above for the soldering iron. FLAME ADJUSTMENT: Move the adjustment lever toward right
side to increase the flame strength or toward left to decrease the flame strength. When the
flame is at “+” position, the longer flames may cause the torch to flare or extinguish. In this
situation, please move the gas adjustment lever to “-” side for decreasing the flame strength
and set up a most efficient flame. REFILLING TORCH WITH FUEL: 1.Turn off the soldering iron
and make sure the flame is off. 2.Wait until the soldering iron temperature has cooled down
naturally before refilling gas. 3.Hold the soldering iron in an upside down position. 4.Insert and
press down the butane canister nozzle into the soldering iron refilling valve. Use short 3-5
second bursts with the fuel cylinder. 5.Stop refilling once gas starts to overflow. The soldering
iron should never be completely filled. OVERFILLING WILL CAUSE THE FLAME TO SPIT. 6.Please
allow a few minutes for gas to stabilize before operation.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES:
Read and follow operating instructions and warning and familiarize yourself with the torch
before lighting or using. Review instructions and warnings periodically to maintain awareness. •
Keep the burner out of the reach of children. • Extremely flammable contents under pressure. •
Maintain good ventilation. • Always wear goggles and protective gloves and use proper tools to
handle hot work. • Never breathe in welding/soldering fumes. • Do not puncture or incinerate.
• Never attempt to modify the torch construction, use unapproved accessories or fuels, or
attempt to repair a damaged torch. • Do not drop the micro torch as the unit might be
