6 Put the hose on on a hard surface and cut the end with the mounted M8 barbed tting

squarely with a sharp knife. The barbed tting is replaced by the sleeve nut and the olive.

The M8 barbed tting is factory mounted only and has to be replaced by the sleeve nut and

olive. Hold the hose carefully at the cutting point so that it cannot spring away! Cut squarely

and on a hard surface to achieve a clean cut. Never use pliers or a saw! Dispose the cut hose.

Measure the correct length of the hose (don’t forget to turn the handlebars!) and shorten the

hose as described.

7. Mount sleeve nut and olive as shown and push the prepared hose fully into the slave

cylinder.

8. Do not crossthread! After initial start by hand use a 8mm open end wrench. max.

tightening torque : 4 Nm/34 in.lbs.

9. Always check for correct installation by pulling on the hose. Make sure that the sys-

tem has no leaks by activating the levers, holding the pressure and checking all connections

for eventual leaks.
