VALVE SPRING

(1) Apply 4-stroke engine oil over the inner wall of the CYLINDER, the

sliding surface of the PISTON and the valve holes before reassembly.

(2) Apply the oil over the valve guide hole before inserting VALVE.

To insert VALVE, reassemble SPRING and RETAINER as shown below,

insert VALVE into the RETAINER hole and slide R

ETAINER while

pushing SPRING.
